My Journey with Audiobooks
Back in 2004, I had to change jobs. Although it was a better job, I now had a forty minute commute to work. I soon became tired of listening to the radio and music CDs as I drove by myself. I knew my library had books on CDs and cassette tapes. One CD book was all it took to win me over. Since then, audiobooks have proven to be a very useful everyday companion for me. Audiobooks are now an essential part of my daily routine, whether I’m driving to work, doing errands, or just lounging around the house. I can’t think of a single way that being able to listen to an engrossing novel or learning materials while on the road hasn’t improved my life.
Why Audiobooks?
Perhaps you’re asking yourself, “Why audiobooks?” For me, listening to audiobooks is a different and engaging way to read that goes well with traditional print books. Characters come to life through the narrators’ voices, which also establish the mood with rich descriptions and captivating storytelling. Furthermore, non-fiction is more enjoyable because I have a preference for auditory learning. Audiobooks provide a handy method to absorb content without sacrificing the delight of reading in a fast-paced, time-constrained Trsociety.
